SHANE HENSLEY

Shane worked as a contracted events-support mechanic for a wide range of clients for eight years, servicing manufacturer product as well as supporting sponsored racers at events across the U.S. and Canada. He was persuaded to join DT Swiss (a longtime client) as a full-time employee in 2010, where he created their events program, purchased and built out their Sprinter vans, and attended a sizable calendar of road and mountain events. His job grew to include U.S. marketing, media relations, and sponsorship, giving him a well-rounded view of bike industry events and marketing. Prior to his life on the road, he worked in bike shops, moving through the mechanic ranks at Wheat Ridge Cyclery in Denver, Colorado. Additionally, he spent six years doing custom suspension tuning for motocross riders. He’s been riding and racing bikes since his BMX days as a youngster, and he’s still going strong on the mountain bike.
